Our annual appeal letter went out in February. We still need to pay for heat and water and staff. Your response to the annual appeal has always allowed us to keep our fees reasonable and as many repairs as possible up to date. Thank you for your donation or the one which you are about to send.

SWIM POOL REPORT - Everything went so well with our pool last summer that we will be increasing the activities offered. Watch the newspaper, the website or just call the office around the end of April for updates.
CAMP REGISTRATION WILL START MARCH 1st. Registration forms will be available on line mid-February and in the mail by the end of the month. Job descriptions are available now for CAMP STAFF OPENINGS. Staff children come to camp without cost. Work exchanges available for camp fees. CAMP BROCHURES come out with the spring class brochure.
CAMP REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR 2008:
Your registration will be dated by postmark or the date it is delivered to the YWCA. If it is delivered after 12 noon on any day the date delivered will be considered the following day. No registration form will be marked as received UNTIL THERE IS AN IMMUNIZATION RECORD for the camper; mailed with your registration or faxed before hand.
When registering, there is a $10 registration fee. This is not refundable for any reason.
For each week requested for each camper a $50 deposit will be required. Deposits will only be refunded if the reservation for the week is cancelled before May 1, 2008. Deposits are non-transferable to another week or another camper.
Day Camp
Our camp is licensed by the town Board of Health and we follow all the state regulations for recreational camps. Most weeks are filled by mid-March so register immediately to get the weeks you most want. No registration will be accepted before March 1. To be accepted there must be a deposit for each week requested and a current immunization record sent with the registration form.
Future Classes
We would like to expand our class times into the afternoon. What would you like to teach or take from 12:30-2:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays? Also we’d like to offer the following courses but we haven’t yet located a teacher: polymer clay, calligraphy, natural dyes and edible plants, building bird houses. We have volunteer teachers, paid teachers or rental opportunities for something you would like to teach.
From time to time we need substitutes in the playroom when Barbie cannot be here. We are looking for a list of 5 people who would like to do this. You can earn dollars or you can earn Y credits; you can also bring a child with you at no cost. Please contact the office for application. Wish List
We would also love a fooseball and/or ping-pong table for camp! If you can't donate anyone of these, a cash present to buy them would be appreciated.
The YWCA of the USA and all local associations have adopted a new logo. You see it on the banner on our building and on our newsletter and stationary. This new logo reflects the work of our mission; Strengthened by diversity, the YWCA strives to create opportunities for growth and leadership in order to attain the common vision of peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people and for the elimination of racism wherever it exists and by any means necessary.
