DRIP
IRRIGATION BASICS – Paul Randle
Join us for an introduction to drip irrigation, an
easy way to be “green”. Drip irrigation is a method of watering that
conserves water, lessens weeds, encourages plant root growth, is easy to
install and can save you time in watering. This method of watering focuses
water exactly where you need it—on your plants. The class will cover
the basic concept and applications--perennial flowerbeds, vegetable gardens,
container gardens and ground covers. The class will introduce the materials
used, demonstrate the ease of assembly—no special tools or adhesives
are necessary. Weather permitting, the class will install a small system in
one area at the Y. Paul began his interest in drip irrigation while
landscaping his homes in the drought-prone areas of California and Utah and
here in New England.

CUSTOM
FRAMING. At this class, Creative Memories
Framing Consultant, Stacy Olson, will work with you to help you choose the
right combination of mats, glass and frame to match your special photos,
children's artwork, certificates, needlework or flat memorabilia that have
been hiding in your drawers, shelves or closets. Creative Memories
Custom Framing uses top-of-the-line materials including 100 percent solid
wood-based frames, acid-free mounting board and UV-protective glass.
Once we’ve designed your piece, professional artisans will carefully
assemble your project and in about 3 weeks you'll receive a beautiful
keepsake ready to hang and enjoy with your family for years to come. Stacy
will contact you before the class to discuss your project choice. You may want to bring two or three
items or groups of items to consider framing as you may get other ideas from
other attendees. Class will be held for a

Distant Healing Sessions - Holly Dolben, PT and Reiki Master
Got aches, pains, or something
that ails you? Want to try receiving healing energy but from the
privacy of your own home? This is a common process in Reiki work.
Not everyone is comfortable with bodywork or with healing touch in
person. Also, just driving home can un-relax you, so some prefer to
just stay home. And some are just curious to try something different,
just to see if it helps. Follow-up email or phone contact if wished.

CHI CHUAN/CHI KUNG - Mike Showstack
Tai Chi
Chuan is one of the original systems of ancient Chinese martial arts. The graceful yet outwardly simple
techniques are highly effective. The movements are slow and fluid, evenly defined and circular, ever
interchanging and ever interweaving. Each and every movement flows effortlessly from one into the next,
evolving forward or backward. Tai chi is relaxation, a meditation in motion, balance and harmony of
the body and mind as one. Practiced daily, tai chi is an excellent stress management technique.
