BELTS- Ribbon Belts- Nancy Golembeski DO THE MATH! These belts are great for variety and terrific gifts for all ages. You can buy yours at a craft fair for $35.00 dollars or more OR come join us and make your own! You will be responsible for purchasing your own ribbon, matching threads and buckle so you can customize your belt to fit your personality. Some sewing experience needed and portable sewing machines would be helpful. Please contact the YWCA for a more detailed supply information sheet. GARDENING IN CONTAINERS OR WINDOW BOXES- Eileen Wadon Forsyth Whether this is your only attempt at gardening or you are a pro in larger spaces, there are challenges to making any container as beautiful as you imagine them. Eileen will give you tips for sun and shade and all those other variations, which can cause trouble. Get a supply list at registration and go home with your first container done. Participants can start the season off with containers that will take them through multiple seasons.

Experienced and beginning knitters can come and work on individual projects including the funky new scarves kids love. WORKING IN PASTELS Margaret Farrell Bruno Learn the basics of working from pastel starting from how to organize your pastels to the many ways in which this wonderful and versatile medium can be used. QUILTING Nancy Currie in the mornings and with Mary Merritt and Doris Carroll in the evenings Beginners can learn the basics of strip quilting from fabric selection through rotary cutting to the final stitch. Quilters who have made a quilt already can learn lots of tips and get support. Materials for a twin size would cost about $60, but you can make any size. If this is the first quilt you've made, you should not buy material until after the first class. You will need to bring a sewing machine to class. Come finish that quilt.

TAI CHI CHUAN/CHI KUNG Mike Showstack Tai Chi Chuan is one of the original systems of ancient Chinese martial arts. The graceful yet outwardly simple techniques are highly effective. The movements are slow and fluid, evenly defined and circular, ever interchanging and ever interweaving. Each and every movement flows effortlessly from one into the next, evolving forward or backward. Tai chi is relaxation, a meditation in motion, balance and harmony of the body and mind as one. WINDOW TREATMENT Marie Kurmin This class will help you give the windows in your home a whole new look. Marie can help you make many styles including cornice boards (the only no sew one).
